Where to camp in Taman Negara? – There are total of 4 designated camp sites in Taman Negara. The sites in the Park are hides with bunks for campers to spend the night. For amateur campers, Mutiara camp site and Dakili camp site is suitable for you. There are proper toilet & bathroom. Spot light on the site and many restaurant are close by. Those camping ground is on grass land and few steps to the river. Camp fees for Dakili Camp site and Mutiara Camp site is RM5 per person.
Camp On The Edge Of The Rainforest
To go little bit far, Dan’z Travel camp site locate opposite of Canopy Walkway’ jetty is another option. Camping ground are sandy river bank, less noise and good for fishing as well. At night you are allow to make camp fire.
Lubok Tenor campsite is for avid campers. 3 hours trek from park headquarter or 30 mins boat trip. Camp is Lubok Tenor, camping in wild environments and less human activity. There is nothing there, no toilet, no restaurant but with a magnificent river view. Thousand of fish but hard to see them as their skin color is the same as the river. This is also a fantastic swimming spot, minus the strong current.
Where to camp in Taman Negara? – Other than this 4 proper setup camp site, there still many place to camp. Along the main river (Sungai Tembeling) there are few spots (river bank) are available to camp. usually camper are camp for fishing. But to ensure your safety, you are advice to hire a boat for overnight. Any emergency, can be transfer immediately.
